Dr. Elizabeth Vanderpool Strickland started her college career at the University of Central Florida and earned her Bachelor of Visual Science as well as her Doctor of Optometry degrees from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Her externship training included a rotation in contact lenses at The Eye Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and a rotation in ocular disease at the Fox Medical Center in Kendall, Florida. She also completed her internship training with rotations focused on contact lenses, disease, and pediatrics at the NSU Eye Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
She is a member of the Northwest Florida Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, as well as the Tallahassee Chapter of Moms Run This Town, the Gulf Winds Track Club, and the Florida Trail Association.

I found Dr Strickland to be an excellent eye Doctor who took her time in diagnosing and explaining how my vision was progressing. She offered alternatives to treatment and scheduled follow up while in her office. Google—You need more stars! There aren’t enough to reflect how outstanding Eye Associates of North Florida is. Dr.Weaver restored vision in one eye that was completely blind, and improved the vision in the other, to what is now 20/20 in both. I’ll be forever grateful for his skill as a surgeon. Dr. Strickland’s competence and precision in follow up assessments is nothing short of amazing. Northwest Florida is so fortunate to have this practice here in Tallahassee.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Strickland. She is very personable and knowledgeable, teaches and explains what she sees in the eye exam and vision test. She is the first eye doctor to address my double vision and prescribe prisms for my glasses. The prisms make all the difference in the world and I appreciate how she has improved my quality of life. I have been going to Eye Associates Of Tallahassee for at least 20 years. However, this visit with Dr Strickland and her staff was by far the best. In particular, I was pleased with the skill and experience of the technicians, without a doubt, one of the best eye examinations I have had. In meeting Dr Strickland, I not only had all my questions answered but she provided me a complete assessment of my eyes in language, I understand.I could not be more pleased, and I look forward to the next appointment.

I’ve been a patient of Eye Associates for over 20 yrs and I’ve been very, very satisfied with my eye healthcare. Recently Eye Associates opened an office in Crawford which is about 10 minutes from home. Dr Bui, Dr Strickland and the entire team are exceptional! They have State-of-Art equipment in this facility and provide the same service as the Tallahassee office only without the large patient crowds and traffic challenges! If you don’t have an eye care provider I strongly encourage anyone to check them out!
