It was a great doctor's appointment. I went in for a second opinion after being told by another doctor I had cataracts, glaucoma, and a stoke in my right eye, and would need a shot in my eye for the rest of my life. Dr. Harmon calmed my fears by explaining the cause of glaucoma and cataracts, living with each and if and when to time came to do something about, so I wouldn't have to rush into a harsh treatment plan or surgery immediately. I felt relieved with the additional and confirming information. And as for the stroke, I brought several pictures from previous eye doctor visits where they had approached it from a doomsday angle, and I refused their treatment preferring to give my body a chance to cure the eye stroke issue itself. Dr. Harmon looked into each eye separately, with a bright light, after dilation, could not detect stroke damage, on the signs of onset cataracts and glaucoma. My eye pictures I brought in were taken over the course of several months and the latter pictures, after his review, revealed no evidence of stroke, that my eye had healed itself without the shots. I was definitely grateful for this additional confirming information know I was not on the verge of losing my vision. I also asked was working on the computer daily on the job damaging my eyesight, and again was comforted with his answer: "no, the eye are made for seeing, seeing does not harm the eye", and the "aging has certain affects on nerves in the eyes that can lead to the issues uncovered, but regular treated with eye drops so slow or limit their impact on the eyes". I walked out of the office with a small on my face.
